Rodarte for Target Sneak Peek

Perhaps Target got confused and did a collab with Hot Topic instead.

Judging by the Anna Sui collection for Target, I’m not holding high hopes at present. Or by this look book image.

However going by the new sneak preview that’s been posted up, I’m slightly more optimistic, slightly. I’m a bit leery of high street designer collaborations personally because I think smaller designers should collaborate with Target rather than big names such as Anna Sui and Rodarte because you just can’t transfer that level of detail and quality into a mass-produced garment. Or maybe I’m wrong. You decide.

The Rodarte for Target Go International collection consists of 55 pieces and will range from $9.99 for knee-highs to $79.99 for a leopard print jacket. According to a Target spokesman, the collection is “very feminine, yet very modern and incorporates a rich mix of patterns and fabrications and everything from sequins and bows to faux fur”. Mark your calendars, the limited edition collection will launch at Target stores nationwide and on target.com on December 20, 2009, and will be available through February 6, 2009.
