Sourced by the ever resourceful and lovely Faith, who has put together a list for pop-up boutiques you most definately should not miss, or as I put it, pop-up’s you should pop into (terrible pun I know):

With openings each month, pop-up shops have become the latest trend in the retail industry, causing riots at Target Bullseye Bodegas and anguish at Comme des Garçons guerilla stores. And the recession has only encouraged the movement to spread. Here’s my shortlist of pop-ups to visit before they disappear:

    Type as Object — Oct. 21 to Nov. 20

In conjunction with the exhibition “Type as Object,” typographer House Industries opened a storefront to sell items from the show. Font lovers can peruse a variety of printed t-shirts, tote bags, posters, wooden blocks and pillows.

In the first stop of Gucci’s traveling pop-up, the sneaker aficionado may opt for an exclusive line of trainers designed by Mark Ronson. The flashy kicks come in 18 different styles and one big price tag.

    Double Goose NYC– Oct. 18 to Dec. (tbc)

A legend in hip-hop fashion, Double Goose returns to its New York roots after three Parisians revived the 80s brand. The collection will feature a revamped version of the original leather bomber.

Known as the mainstay of mall culture, The Limited has dug into its archives to bring back Forenzo and other retro looks from the 80s. Expect affordable rainbow sweaters and garments suitable for business casual.

Manhattan-based Only Hearts dedicates its latest outpost to selling vintage lingerie from the 70s, 80s and early 90s. Fashionistas who don innerwear as outerwear will find plenty of tap pants and lacy camisoles to satisfy their boudoir aesthetic.
