Ksubi Eyewear Spring 2010: Welcome to the Book Club

If like me, you actually need glasses or you’re just a hipster with money to burn, being a geek has never been as aesthetically wonderful than with Australian fashion brand Ksubi’s new Spring 2010 range. ‘Book Club’ is composed of 13 unisex frames that are an eclectic mix of styles inspired by pop comic, steam punk and vintage, straight, sharp, modern, architectural, and left virtually unpolished.

In 2006, a collaborative project with U.S. style icon and fashion designer, Jeremy Scott titled ‘Jeremy Loves Ksubi’ was shown at Scott’s New York Fashion Week parade alongside his own collection. The collection received rave reviews from the fashion media, and was available worldwide from April 2007.

By minimizing the detail of the curves, acetates, metals and lenses, the flatness and sharpness of the finish and appearance of each frames is enhanced.

Acetates are left unpolished and raw as possible – ksubi’s own acetate developments include unique digital printed leopard design & layered color acetates with laser cuts in colors such as ksubi leopard print, leopard tortoiseshell, charcoal, navy, ivory frosts and fuchsia.
