I’m all for practicality such as glow in the dark underwear which I previously mentioned, you know when the lights get turned off and the glow ensures you don’t bump into the dresser when you’re doing a sexy dance. But you might still trip over your jeans, but that’s ok, cos you turned it all into a sexy dance.

I have found another practical luminous lovely – perfect for when the bulb blows in the downstairs toilet or when you’re at a house party when all the lights are off because it’s trying to be edgy but mainly because they’re cheap and they want the alcohol and the darkness to numb your senses to the munters there so they can pull. And being in the dark is more sensual. Or so I’ve heard

It is a tad pricier than your standard Andrex 12-pack but it makes a great novelty gift, and it is also useful whilst camping and at festivals when you hike into the woods when nature calls. Which I’ve done neither. So that’s guesswork.
