“A surprisingly good DJ. Full of Life and Excitement!” – Decky Hedrock (The Japanese Popstars)

On the brink of releasing Issue 03, Esper Online Magazine is proud to share this exclusive mix by Jordan McCuaig, a young DJ hailing from the reputably thriving musical backdrop of Belfast. Performing under the alias of Jordan X and now based in Leeds, Jordan’s enthusiastic personality and mammoth hunger for a party are the rocket fuel behind his blistering DJ sets across the UK. Despite his eminence within the UK, Jordan is, however no stranger to the world stage, playing sets in the likes of Ibizan superclub Eden and surpassing the goals of many a rave-devotee.

His inspiration currently derives heavily from the underground European techno sounds of Dubfire, Johannes Heil, Paul Ritch and Marco Carola, as well as fresh talent such as Uto Karem, whilst being imbued with his own frantically energetic elements.
Jordan’s 2009 remix of Fergie’s The Badness on Excentric Muzik, recieved plays on Radio One by mainstream house music Guru Dave Spoon, as well as from DJ’s such as Tresor’s Axel Bartsch and Louis Osborne.
”The mix I’ve put together for you guys at Esper is inspired by my current location at my parents’ house back in Belfast. The sun is shining, and I recently played a fun, local gig, so decided I’d get the summer grooves out with a lot of tribal influences!” – Jordan x
