This is a fabulous fictional drama explores a relationship that took place behind closed doors between a high society socialite and her very close butler, Bernard. Filling the screen with beautiful shots of scandal and secrets, director Bob Balaban and executive producer Kevin Spacey have really pushed the boat out on this film! Starring Susan Sarandon as a world-famous heiress and socialite we discover a secret relationship between Doris and her confidante and flamboyant butler (played by Ralf Fiennes).

In the film many issues are explored, ranging from money, class, sexuality but most importantly the films biggest secret that is being explored is the intimate relationship between Bernard and Doris who are an unlikely pairing. What is most strange, yet incredibly interesting the balance between a dramatic feature film along with a comedy.
