Le Poisson Rouge

Bleecker St is a complete tourist trap. Think Leicester Square and Picadilly and all roads surrounding it.

But within Bleecker, is hiding Le Poisson Rouge. It’s a art gallery, exhibition space, club, bar, member’s club and hosts a lot of up and coming DJs. Twice a month, it holds Crooked Disco, a free night by DJ’s Morsky & Kestar and on Saturday 12th Sept a special ‘Back to School’ edition with French DJ and MC Charly Greane making his US debut and DJ Tektite dropping old school hip hop, electro, and disco mash-up.
I randomly came across Crooked Disco from a NY fashion blog, thought to check it out (free) and found a place where I could party and show my fellow Americans, how to skank out.

Le Poisson Rouge specialises in showcasing upcoming contemporary music in the NY and worldwide scene. Later this monthSkream and Bengahit the NY scene for the third anniversary party of Trouble and Bass and Caspa headlining at Le Poisson Rouge for CUT NYC who run some of the best dance parties in the city.

When in the Big Apple, definately check out what’s going down at Le Poisson Rouge, you won’t be disappointed.

Check out Charly Greane’s debut, ‘Gossip Girl’ below.
