However I do like the idea of V Day – a day to celebrate the love you have for one another, not just your partner, but your friends and family. Who cares if you’re single or not, ignore the banners outside Clintons’, say sayonara to the offers in Tescos of Thornton’s and wine for £10 (a tad worrying), and see it for what it really is. A chance to shop. But please for the love of god, no synthetic lace teddies. They make my eyes cry.

Because if you don’t, you won’t be getting any nookie. Will I be getting any nookie for V Day? That’s between me and my god.

Lingerie is a most obvious choice for V Day that can go very very wrong. I’m shuddering at the thought of how many all in one mesh body stockings are being purchased on eBay as we speak.
Every lady deserves an amazing pair of stockings, and I can tell you from personal experience that Falke hosiery is amazing and feels incredible on your skin. May look boring, but they’re classic and very elegant. And take it from me, most women aren’t into dressing like a trapped fish choking on it’s last breath.

agnès b is one of my favourite brands, but strangely not as well known in the UK. This isn’t your traditional girly piece of crap from Elizabeth Duke (no offence) but more cleaner and functional, for the unfussy lady in your life. Christopher Walken performs ‘Poker Face’ on ‘Friday Night with Jonathan Ross’ – Fri 30th Oct ‘09

Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga have been named the latest faces of the MAC AIDS Fund. The newest campaign, dubbed “From Our Lips,” will break on Feb. 25. MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick and Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick, $14 each, will launch in North America on March 18 and globally throughout the month, with 100 percent of the proceeds being donated to the MAC AIDS Fund. The MAC AIDS Fund has invested more than $150 million to organizations in more than 67 countries since its founding in 1994.

From Our Lips’ is the latest campaign from the beauty brand, and is set to launch in February next year to help raise money for the MAC AIDS Fund. Cyndi and Gaga – both have their own lipsticks for the line. MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick and Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick will retail for £8.50 ($14).

Past faces of MAC’s Viva Glam have included Fergie, Eve, Boy George, Dita Von Teese and Chloe Sevigny.

GaGa will probably have to remove that lace from her poker face (ooh I made a rhyme), otherwise we can’t see her lippy.
