When I was back in NY, I hit the Barney’s Warehouse sale. Absolutely mental on Labour Day (or Labor) which is their version of August Bank Holiday weekend. Labor Day being the last day of the sale, everything was marked down to within an inch of its’ life, meaning I picked up a Pringle sweater, Rag & Bone cords, and a Ralph Lauren shirt for my daddy for under $100. What a bargain.

I also picked up a beautiful pair of Creative Recreation kicks, beautiful perhaps being an odd word you may think, but they are suede. And anyone who knows me knows about my suede fixation. I love suede. I can never wear it here in London because it rains always, but that doesn’t stop me. Red suede and silver leather, from $210 to $40, what a bargainous bargain. They are men’s but I have long ski-like feet, so that’s ok. In proper English, they were about £27. Amazing. And they were a Barney’s exclusive which I now belatedly realise.

Although I’m supposed to be dead cool and trendy (really?) I had no idea about Creative Recreation, and how populare (that e is intentional) they are. I liked the suede, and one of my mates has some Creative Recreation kicks and I thought they looked cool. I’m so clued up, you can so tell. Also I generally dislike red, but I’ve branched out into a couple of red items, first being my Fred Perry Harrington bomber that I got at half price for £45 from £90, where do I find these bargains, it’s amazing.

So people are slavering at my feet when I walk down the street even more so than usual. But far be from me to keep the Creative Recreation love from everyone else. To get in the know, I’m subscribed to Daily Candy which send you alerts based on the criteria you select and for whatever city you live in, meaning I am subscribed to London and New York. Short, snappy email alerts on fashion, food and fun, you can’t go wrong. And every Tuesday they have Daily Candy deals, which I very nicely am sharing with you, and telling you to sign up for.
