LFW Day 4 – Mon 22nd Feb: FAD

7pm – FAD

FAD (Fashion Awareness Direct) is a creative charity supporting young people to bridge the gap between education and fashion. Fourteen finalists from the top fashion schools around the country presented a two-piece collection on the theme of Traces, one piece inspired from personal memories, the other from the narrative of collective memories.

The winner receives £2000 and a top industry placement. The two runner up’s receive £1000 and a placement. A fourth finalist is awarded a special mention and receives a placement.

Judges: Sonnet Stanfill, Curator of 20th-Century and Contemporary Fashion, V&A; Elizabeth Mcluskie, Fashion Buyer at Harrods; John Wolford, Director of Vauxhall Fashion Scout; David Koma, Designer and 2005 F.A.D. Finalist; Ana Belen Meroño, 2009 F.A.D. Competition Winner; and Maria Alvarez, Executive Director of F.A.D.
